Many people were at the Beaubassin-est 5th Anniversary Celebration Thursday, July 28th. Councilors Laurie McGraw, Jean-Albert Cormier, Maryse LeBlanc, Paul-Hubert Cormier, James LeBlanc, Mayor Ola Drisdelle, and councilors Gilles Cormier, André Bourque and Roger J. Léger are cutting the anniversary cake.

There was a free BBQ, face painting, cotton candy and games for the kids. Hockey players Pierre Durepos, Alex and Allain Saulnier were there to meet the kids and they gave a mini hockey stick to the first 50 children. Everybody also had a chance to win a hockey stick signed by these 3 local hockey players, and the lucky winner was Joël Robichaud.
