50 teams participated in the Parlee Beach Winter Classic Pond Hockey Tournament last January, on the 11 outdoor rinks built at the Parlee Beach Provincial Park. Two Councilors from the Beaubassin-est Rural Community were part of a team with 3 Councilors from the Town of Shediac, to play a friendly match against the Radio Beauséjour team.
Councilors Gilles Cormier and Maryse LeBlanc proudly represented Beaubassin-est at this game. They played with the Deputy Mayor, Peter Breau, along with Councilors Jacques LeBlanc and Charles J. LeBlanc, from the Town of Shediac. |
