Ward 4 is Boudreau-Ouest which account for approximately 334 people and about 5% of the total population. Mr. Richard Ratelle is the councillor of this Ward. Mr. Roger J. Léger, one of the pioneers of the Beaubassin-est Rural Community’s committee, had been councillor of this Ward from its beginning in 1995 until 2012. This Northumberland Strait coastal region, which has numerous beautiful beaches, nearly doubles its population during the summer months with outsiders who own summer homes in the area. Route 133, which is an important road in Beaubassin-est and runs through Boudreau-Ouest, offers the opportunity to several citizens of nearby regions and even tourists to admire the numerous and beautiful antique style houses that remind us of the history of the area. There are a number of diversified businesses such as a pet shop / animal groomer, a hardware store, a steel worker, a Northumberland milk supplier, a craft store as well as an important weekly newspaper for the region.
